I often get a question like this "I'm thinking about your course in May but I am commencing a teacher training course in London in September and want to do the course in preparation for this. This may sound like a silly question, but in light of this, do you think it would be more suitable for me to do the course closer to September?"
The trouble is with public speaking fear is that the more we avoid it the bigger it seems to grow. So my advice is to come on a course as early as possible. That will stop the sleepless nights worrying about it. The skills we learn on the course are fairly simple and straightforward so you can learn them easily. Once you understand them and have practiced them you can just get on with all the other things you need to do in life. A few people do come back for more but lots don't.
